On a very wet and windy day at Harrow the 2s were hampered by traffic and trialling conditions, with 11 players turning up just in time for kick off.

The school were gifted an early goal when Will Orr-Ewing's pass across the back four was cut out, the young opposition striker keeping his cool to slot under the onrushing McHardy. However, the old guard - featuring a blend of regular 2s and 3s players, then settled into a good rhythm, passing the ball well across the midfield and asking questions of their younger counterparts.

The first goal was expertly taken by Ollie Curry who worked tirelessly all day. It was soon followed up by a sumptuous finish from Pom Beeley, capitalising on some great work down the flanks.

During the second half, the wind really started to blow a gale and the school could sense a few tired legs.

Nonetheless, they could not take advantage of it. Tom Bell, who made an impact off the bench, showed great composure to rifle home from a corner to put the result beyond any doubt.

A good win for an experimental 2s side, including promising debuts from Alex Gwyther and Harry Thomas.
